Great question — I think it has more to do with the complexity of the challenge. It could be a sign for founders, but I don't think selling solely to asset managers is enough of a TAM to be attractive. If you solve a problem that asset managers and property managers have, or asset managers and investment/development teams have, then that would be interesting. HelloData is a great example of this. They serve developers, investment teams, asset managers, and property managers.
Excellent analysis; it really makes me wonder if AI could simplify the complexity of tracking narrative threads in my books as efficently as it clears up financial reporting for asset managers.
